A recent study shows that in the months ahead, China tops the fifth-generation communication technology (5G) race, surpassing South Korea, the United States and Japan.

The analysis by Analysys Maison Consulting, which analyzed corporate and policy actions in 10 countries, found that these four countries are most involved in the pathway to deploying the technology.

These countries are the first group to be prepared for this step, while European markets, including France, Germany and Britain, belong to the second group. The third group includes Singapore, Russia and Canada, according to a study by the American Association of Telecommunications Operators.

Commenting on these findings, the association noted that China's progress in this area is due to "proactive government policy and the rush from the sector".

More clearly, all major companies in the sector have pledged to engage in this process with set dates for launch and frequency allocations for operators.

The fifth generation of communications is a key factor in the development of electronic pieces connected to the Internet. The launch will help address billions of data related to the use of auto-driving and other smart accessories used in everyday life.

The EU is willing to complete the development of the fifth generation by 2020.
